The other day I cam across a video on Youtube of popular singer Kesha (or is it Ke$ha). It was basically the worst performance I had ever seen. I can’t believe her record label allows her to perform live. This poor girl has no singing talent whatsoever.
Her popular songs all feature her essentially talking in rhyme while autotune software does the rest. The end result is songs that are barely palatable on the radio. But when you strip away the autotune, which is the case when she is on stage, you are left with an uninspired display of anti-talent. Even her male dancers looked as though they were lost and didn’t want to be there. It was the most pathetic video clip I have seen. The only redeeming thing in it was the massive Confetti Cannons Kesha was riding that shoots enough confetti to obstruct everyone’s view of the stage.

If you’re a private music teacher in Australia (or apparently in many other countries around the world) and, like most of us, you have slots you need to fill… then these guys are my number one business tip to you. I teach guitar and piano in Sydney and I’ve been full after school from about 3.30 to 7 for a few years now but filling the hours before school finishes with Adults has been illusive. Anyway, I was Googling around and I found these guys: Stars & Catz School of Music. They have a national network of teachers and when I emailed them I got a quick response and was registered with them by the end of the day. Anyway, within the next few weeks I received several students from Stars & Catz and all of them were adults who could fit in my gaps! They did offer me kids as well but I couldn’t fit them in. Leanring to play jazz guitar is an art form without a doubt. I’d say that one of the most difficult parts of learning jazz gutiar is getting the abstract chord shapes, forms and progressions under your fingers so that you can move ahead and begin to play with others and jam with other guitarists. Jazz guitar lessons usually will focus on the unique chords used in jazz, they take some time to feel comfortable under the fingers but once you know them sound amazing. Next are the unique scales you’ll use to navigate around the fretboard when you’re playing a nice little lead bit. Finally the art of improvising and freeing yourself from the confines of playing the same thing over and over as we do in practice and being able to create something amazing on the fly as you play. This can be the most difficult of all things to learn and master when learning jazz guitar, but with time you get there. Practice makes perfect after all right.
I am not really an expert of the Twilight Saga of Stephanie Meyer. I have not even read a single book of hers. I knew about this when people started talking about it and that was the reason why I started watching its movie adaptations. I loved each film so I never gave a pass when a new movie comes out. When the latest film was out, I immediately got a ticket to watch it. In my opinion, the Breaking Dawn Part 1 is the best of all the series. If you have not seen it yet I suggest that you watch Breaking Dawn Part 1 as soon as you can. In this film, we are allowed to witness more believable acting. The casts are able to play around with their roles. This is something that we hardly see from any of previous Twilight movies. Thus, it really won’t be a waste spending your money to watch this on a big screen.
